The released version is in B. This may be an effect of varispeed recording.
Anyway, C is a great key to play this song on a guitar, because the
descending bass line can be integrated easily in this key. McCartney
himself plays C for his 1984 version of the song on "Give My Regards
to Broadstreet" (even though the guitar is tuned down two steps so it
actually sounds in Bb).
In order to play it in the same key as the Beatles' recording one would
have to:
- either tune down the guitar one step (D#-G#-C#-F#-A#-d#) and play in C
- or transpose this tab down one step to B (a little more difficult to
play, though - at least for me)
- or transpose this tab down three steps (from C to A) and then use a capo
2nd fret to make it sound in B (I added a tab for that option below)
