Now I'm not completely sure about the main melody but it sounds decent to me.
And it works very well with those chords beneath :)
This is my first time tabbing so excuse my confusing way of writing the melody.
But with these notes you'll figure out the rhythm pattern very easily by listening to a song.

e|-----------------|--------------|
B|3-3---3~35653----|3-3---3~33----|
G|-5-525-------524~|-5-525----542~|
D|-----------------|--------------|
A|-----------------|--------------|
E|-----------------|--------------|

I play it on the third fret of the B string but you could also play it higher on the neck.
And it would look like this.

e|10--10------10~1012131210-------|10--10------10~1010-------|
B|--13--131013-------------131012~|--13--131013-------131012~|
G|--------------------------------|--------------------------|
D|--------------------------------|--------------------------|
A|--------------------------------|--------------------------|
E|--------------------------------|--------------------------|

Play this chords over the melody.

Verse 1:

Am Dm Am
Merrily we sailed along Though the waves were plenty strong
Am Dm C Am
Down the twisting river Rhine Following a song...
Am Dm Am
Legend's faded storyline Tried to warn us all
Am Dm C Am
Oh, they called her "Loreley" Careful or you'll fall...

Bridge no.1 =>

Repeat the intro melody over these chords.

Verse 2:

Am Dm Am
Oh, the stories we were told Quite a vision to behold
Am Dm C Am
Mysteries of the seas in her eyes of gold...
Am Dm Am
Laying on the silver stone, such a lonely sight
Am Dm C Am Dm C Am
Barnacles become a throne, my poor Loreley...

Chorus =>

|: Dm Am Dm Am
And the winds would cry, and many men would die
F Am C G Dm Am
And all the waves would bow down to the Loreley :|

Bridge no.3 => Again repeat the intro melody.

| Am | Dm Am | Am | Dm C Am |

Verse 3:

Am Dm Am
You would not believe your eyes, how a voice could hypnotize
Am Dm C Am
Promises are only lies from the Loreley
Am Dm Am
In a shade of mossy green, seashell in her hand
Am Dm C Am
She was born the river queen, ne'er to grace the land...

Dm C Am

Chorus =>

|: Dm Am Dm Am
And the winds would cry, and many men would die
F Am C G Dm Am
And all the waves would bow down to the Loreley :|

Bridge =>

|: Dm | Gm Dm | Dm | Gm F Dm :|

Here I think the band does a modulation in fourths, not completely sure
so correct me if I'm wrong but the melody changes to this.

e|3-3----3~35653----|3-3----3~33----|
B|-6-6356-------635~|-6-6356----653~|
G|------------------|---------------|
D|------------------|---------------|
A|------------------|---------------|
E|------------------|---------------|

Then Blackmoore plays a lead passage basicly outlining the E major scale,
while the band is sticking to the E major chord.

The way that I play that passage is sort of like this.
But basicly you can improvise anything in E major and it will sound okay.

e|---------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------9-10-9109--9-------------------|
G|-------------8-9-11----------11-11-9-8-9-898-6-8-9~|
D|------7-9-11---------------------------------------|
A|7-9-11---------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------|

Those 9109 and 898 are to be played as triplets.

Verse 4.

Am Dm Am
Oh, the song of Loreley Charms the moon right from the sky...
Am Dm C Am
She will get inside your mind, loveley Loreley...
Am Dm Am
When she cries "Be with me until the end of time"
Am Dm C Am
You know you will ever be with your Loreley...

Dm C Am

Chorus =>

|: Dm Am Dm Am
And the winds would cry, and many men would die
F Am C G Dm Am
And all the waves would bow down to the Loreley :|

|: Dm Am Dm Am
And the winds would cry, and many men would die
F Am C G Dm Am
And all the waves would bow down to the Loreley :|
