"Call On Me" by Chicago
(Loughnane)
Chicago VII 1974

For the intro, I strum the first six chords once and then make-up my own kind of rhythm.
Also, sliding up the fretboard from Am and A#m a little sounds like the recording.
It would help to play all of the chords using barre chords, and a wah-wah pedal is needed.

Intro: Am (x02210@1)Bm (x24432@1)Dm (xx0231@1) A#m (x13321@1)C#m (x13321@4)Em (022000@1)name="chord_x24432@1">Bm Dm (xx0231@1) Am (x02210@1) Bm (x24432@1) C#m (x13321@4)Em (022000@1) C#m (x13321@4)Em (022000@1)name="chord_x13321@1">A#m A#m (x13321@1)Bm (x24432@1)C#m (x13321@4)For the verses, I play a strumming pattern of:

w w x w u x u u x d u d with w(down), u(up), and x(muted)

Verse 1:
C#m (x13321@4) BmThe (x24432@1)feeling was clear, clear as a blue sky on a sunny day
               C#mEverything (x13321@4)was you, oo ooo
D (xx0232@1) C#m (x13321@4) Bm'Cause (x24432@1)no one made me feel, the way I felt with you, oh oohh

    C#m (x13321@4)name="chord_x13321@4">C#m D6 (xx04xx@1) C#m (x13321@4)name="chord_x13321@4">C#m D (xx0232@1) A#m (x13321@1) A#m (x13321@1)Bm (x24432@1)C#mYou (x13321@4)know I do, you love me too.

For verse 2, the strumming pattern stays the same, but for the first D chord, I play:

w u w u w x w x w x (twice)

Verse 2:
C#m (x13321@4) BmThen (x24432@1)came a change, when I said I would soon be leavin' you
                C#mNothing (x13321@4)else to do, oooh
D (xx0232@1) C#m (x13321@4) BmBut (x24432@1)please remember I'll never lose the thought of you
                  C#m (x13321@4)name="chord_x13321@4">C#m DCall (xx0232@1)on me 'cause I love you

A#mHoo (x13321@1)ooh oh oh hoh

I ad-lib on rhythm for the instrumental. It's difficult to hear the guitar
over the brass and percussion anyways.
