 This is Remember to Breathe by Dashboard Confessional, its an amazing
 song, its very simple but powerful.  With this tab if you can't read
 music you should still have no trouble understanding it, but if you
 can read music hopefully the extra details I use here will help. Enjoy

 This song is originally a half step down but I made a few changes to
 let it sound the fullest and easiest to play especially if you are
 singing along. Most tabs require you to hit the G note on ur (Eb)
 string, which would mean putting ur finger on the 4th fret, like
 shown below

Guitar 1 just repeats this (rhythm not shown)

 But the problem with that is you are a half step below the Ab on the
 string above it and that makes it hard to mute that string which is
 symbolized by the X. So what I did was drop the Ab string down a half
 step to the G so now the tab looks like this.

 This will allow you to not mute any strings and let you hear the voices
 the entire song, it helps it flow better, also its easier to sing when
 you only have to use one finger on the guitar.

 Another thing I did was to change the tuning. I left the little e string
 at Eb, then I also left the Bb the same. But the Gb string is dropped
 way down to an Eb, and the Db string is tuned up to an Eb, so those two
 strings are the exact same note. You can tune ur Gb string UP to the Eb
 but I just put on new strings and I would hate to pop one so soon haha.

 So heres how the whole 2 measure phrase goes in 4/4 time. 
 The accents are symbolized by up arrows and come in on 1 and the + of 2

 Now thats basically the entire song just keep repeating that the whole
 time, and improv with it, its very easy and fun to play.


 Now heres the hard part. The guitar 2 part could possibly be played
 on a mandolin, but its more fun on guitar for me, and sounds basically
 the same. First I will show you the essentials of the notes, then I'll
 show you the background ghost notes underneath it. Unless you are a
 super fast picker, this one is easiest to just pluck with your thumb,
 index and middle finger. Use your thumb on the Eb string, but what should
 be the Gb string, the 3rd one from the bottom if you are counting up. Then
 use your index on the Bb string and your middle finger on the smallest Eb
 string, just as your hand would normally rest on the strings.
