Subject: CRD: Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straights

Here are the chords for Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straights.
all of the usual diclaimers/excuses apply.

I took it from "Money for Nothing", the greatest hits CD.
To hear some great solo work, see the live versions on Alchemy(?)

First of all, you capo on the fith fret and then play the intro chords
as you would in first position (i.e. play the Fas (133211@1)afirst (x02210@1)position C,
the Dmas (xx0231@1)afirst (x02210@1)position Am, etc) then you will find that the intro
is asimple (x02210@1)fingerpicking of the chords, don't have to hardly move
	the hands!

*NOTE* I wrote the actual chords out, not the normal thing of writing
out the chords as if in first position referenced to the capo. Sorry
about this, but I play it in first position while by friend plays
the capo'd part, so it was easier for me to write it this way. here is the conversion:

Actual chord Play Capo'd as first position
	F (133211@1)(x87565) C (x32010@1)Dm(x57765) (xx0231@1) Am (x02210@1)C (x32010@1)(875558) G (320003@1)Bb(688766) (x1333x@1) F (133211@1)	Gm(xx5786) (355333@1) Dm (xx0231@1)

Anyway, what you gonna do about it?

Chorus I:
	C (x32010@1) G (320003@1) Am (x02210@1)name="chord_320003@1">G F (133211@1)Juliet the dice was loaded from the start

And I bet, and you exploded in my heart.
	C (x32010@1) G (320003@1) Am (x02210@1) F (133211@1)	And I forget, I forget, the movie song
	Dm (xx0231@1) C (x32010@1) F (133211@1) G (320003@1) Am (x02210@1)G (320003@1)C (x32010@1)When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?

Verse II:
Come up on different streets, they both the streets of shame
Both dirty both mean, yes and even and dream was just the same
And I dreamed your dream for you and now your dream is real.
How can you look at me as if I was just another part of your deal

Well you can fall for chains of silver, you can fall for chains of gold.
you can fall for pretty strangers and the promises they hold
You promised me everything, you promised me thick and thin yeah
Now you just say oh Romeo yeah, I used to have ascene (x02210@1)with him.

Chorus II:
Juliet when we made love you used to cry
you said I love you like the stars above I'll love you till I die
There's aplace (x02210@1)for us, you know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?

Verse III:
I can't do the talk, like they talk on the tv
I can't do alove (x02210@1)song, like the way it's meant to be.
I can't do anything, but I'd do anything for you.
I cant't do anything but be in love with you.

And all I do is miss you and the way we used to be
All I do is keep the beat and bad company.
All I do is kiss you through the bars of arhyme (x02210@1)	Juliet I'd do the stars with you anytime.

Repeat Chorus II:

Verse IV:
Alove (x02220@1)struck Romeo, sings the streets aserenade. (x02210@1)	Now he's laying everymody low, with alove (x02210@1)song that he made.
Finds aconvenient (x02210@1)street light, steps out of the shade
Says something like you and me babe how about it

outro:
F (133211@1)name="chord_320003@1">G (as long as the lead player can do those tasty fills)

p.s. Asecond (x02220@1)guitarist playing in first position really fills this song
out if you are not doing it with afull (x02210@1)band.
