Vital signs - Frank Tuner
Tabbed by Sean O'Reilly

Frank's got this song on his website, You can all thank 'slghtlystoopid' ofr letting me know =]
http://www.frank-turner.com/tabs/02VS.jpg

I tabbed it out not knowing the high e was tuned to an F#, the tab's still right.
Except the chords have different names now.

Now, I'm not so sure what happens at the bridge..

Tuning:
EADGBf#

The main riff is based around a B chord I think
f#|--0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-|
B |--0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-|
G |--4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|
D |--4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-2-|
A |--2-2-0-2-2-2-2-0-2-|
E |--------------------|

The high e and b strings are left open for the F#, Abm and A, this is done by playing
route of the chord with your thumb.
     F# Abm A
f#|--0----0----0---|
B |--0----0----0---|
G |--3----4----6---|
D |--4----6----7---|
A |--4----6----7---|
E |--2----4----5---|

Intro: B Riff

Verse 1:
B Riff
This country is my canvas
I leave paint trails as I go.
               E
I'm painting a picture
                  F# B Riff
That you can only see from outer space.

B Riff
My bedroom is your sofa,
I take my breakfast on the train.
                  E F# Abm B Riff
I'm tired and I'm dirty, and not a second goes to waste.

Chorus:
                       A E
I'll be dead but never dying, and I say that with a smile
                    Abm F#
It's just my way of trying to be aliive.

Verse 3:
B Riff
Well I'll never get to grey hair
And I'll never be in the black,
               E F# B Riff
But I can tell stories that most can hardly dream.

B Riff
Dreaming is a luxury,
Like stopping-staring and beauty sleep.
                   E
I'll stop when I'm finished,
    F# B Riff Abm
And sleep is for the weak.

Chorus:
                       A E
I'll be dead but never dying, and I say that with a smile
                    Abm F#
It's just my way of trying to be aliive.
                 A E
Heaven's in the half light, and that's where I reside,
         Abm
I got a whiskey and a wry smile
                B
I check my vital signs.

Bridge:
             F#
And when I'm gone,
                                   A
The world revolves, and life goes on,
So mark no grave,
A Abm F# A
Forget my name.
A Abm F#(Let Ring)
If the song remains

And everybody's got a drink and a smile,
                                F#
Well, that's just fine by me yeah.

Chorus:
                 A E
Heaven's in the half-light, and that's where I reside,
         Abm
I got a whiskey and a wry smile
                F#
I check my vital signs.

                       A E
I'll be dead but never dying, and I say that with a smile
                    Abm B Riff
It's just my way of trying to be aliive.

Outro: B Riff (Play till death) Says Frank.
