An REM cover off GBS's 1997 album, "Play". None of the chords on here sound correct to
me. So, I decided to finally figure out the chords myself. Very easy, only 3 chords. Not
nearly as easy to sing, however!

-Standard Tuning-

-Capo on the 2nd fret-

-The chords are played as follows:-
*All chords relative to the capo*
D: xx0232
A: x02220
G: 320003

(PM) = Palm mute the chord
(Ring) = Let the chord ring

[Verse 2]
Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign
towers. Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself
churn. Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood
letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a votive, light a candle. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no
fear cavalier. Renegade steer clear! A tournament,
tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions,
offer me alternatives and I decline.

[Chorus] (x2)
*Palm mute on the 2nd chorus*
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine

[Verse 3]
The other night I dreamt of knives, continental
drift divide. Mountains sit in a line, Leonard
Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester
Bangs. Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You
symbiotic, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.

[Chorus] (x2)
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine

[End on D]
