NOTES: For all those girls out there who still haven?t grown out
of our Robbie, I?ve tabbed this out my own way. It?s my first proper
tab, but I hope it?s ok - please let me know if there are any problems.

This isn?t in the same key as the recording, but use a capo in the
second fret (I think!) if you want to play along to the recording,
but this is a good pitch for a girl to sing it at ? and the chords
are easy too!

Chords below. They might not be quite what you?re used to but try
them ? they do work! For the ?D? chord, try putting your thumb (t)
over onto the second fret (F#) on the bottom string ? that way you
don?t have to worry about missing out the bottom string.

In the piece, just keep playing the chords until the next one comes.
Riffs are optional. Try it out and listen to the recording if you?re
still not sure!

VERSE 1:

          D
I sit and wait

        D G D A
Does an angel contemplate my fate

A D
And do they know

    D D
The places where we go

           D G D A
When we?re grey and old

A D
?Coz I?ve been told

         D G D A
That salvation lets their wings unfold

NC G
So when I?m lying in my bed

         C
Thoughts running through my head

      D
And I feel that love is dead

G D D
I?m loving angels instead

CHORUS:

D A D
And through it all she offers me protection

                     G
A lot of love and affection

                     D
Whether I?m right or wrong

                   A
And down the waterfall

                D
Wherever it may take me

                       G
I know that life won?t break me

               D
When I come to call [pause]

              C
She won?t forsake me [RIFF 1]

G D D
I?m loving angels instead

VERSE 2:

D D
When I?m feeling weak

       D G D A
And my pain walks down a one way street

         D
I look above

      D G D A
And I know I?ll always be blessed with love

    G
And as the feeling grows

             C
She breathes flesh to my bones

    D
And when love is dead

G D D
I?m loving angles instead

CHORUS:

D A D
And through it all she offers me protection

                     G
A lot of love and affection

                     D
Whether I?m right or wrong

                   A
And down the waterfall

                D
Wherever it may take me

                       G
I know that life won?t break me

               D
When I come to call [pause]

RIFF 2:

Very easy. You can play it down starting on 2nd fret, but it sounds
a lot better if you start it an octave up ? on 14th fret. Ideally
with a little distortion, but not essential. Bend some of the notes
as you see fit.
