Fellow guitar-playing Starkids,
This is my favorite song from Starship. I figured out the chords from this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXthfVNj3DY If you watch it, you'll figure out the
parts where is pauses and some of the more obvious strumming patterns that Darren
uses. When he wrote this song he must've been thinking "I'll make this really hard
for other people to learn by using strange chords. HAZAA!" But really, he makes
seem really easy in the beginning and then from the bridge on it just "BAM. BAM.
BAR CHORDS." Also, in no way, is this perfect or exact to Darren's acoustic
version. But I think I have a pretty good chunk of if right. Sorry if this was a
long intro but you didn't really need to read any of this, so I'll put the actual
important stuff below.

-For the D* you sort of lift up your pointer and middle finger at different times
and go between D and Dsus4
-And of the Gs and Ems are played with your pinky and ringer on strings e and B

Look how the silkworms sway in the wind.
Weaving their silk regardless of what you've
Em G D*
done or where you've been, they'll give ya beauty.

See how the dragonfly dances through the flowers.
A brilliant ballet at 15 miles an hour
Em G D*
There's no admission to this vision of beauty.

       Em G D*
And it might be slightly different from the things that you may know.
           Em G
You can't deny there's something special when you see the night

C E
sky glow.

          D Em
So look out! It's around every corner.
D Em C
There's something magical in the air.
      D G Em
Don't hide from your eyes or ignore there is beauty,

G D
beauty everywhere.

Check out the bees, they don't buzz around for money.
They do it for free, making love, making honey.
Em G D*
Spreading pollen, how can you not fall in love?
       Em G D*
And it might make you sneeze, but you better believe its beautiful stuff.

Then there's the wonder of the caterpillar.
The best show in town, the ending is killer!
Em G D*
There's a larval, real life marvel to be found.
        Em G D*
And it might sound cute-sy, but there is beauty all around!

       Em G D*
And it doesn't matter if you've got twelve eyes or you've got two.
        Em G Em E
Because nothing needs anymore than one to take in the view.

If you're preoccupied with whats on the outside,
           Em G
You'll get lost in the "how it can seem".
    F Em
But open your eyes, and you'll be surprised
        F#m Bm-ish (224242)
To find out how much more something different can mean.

         E Esus4
We don't got any kind of worries.
E Esus4 F#
Our way of life is laissez-fair.
 (barre)G F# F#m-F#7sus4 F#m A
No wealth, no poor, no hypo-crisy just beauty, beauty

             E Esus4
So look out! It's all around.
      E Esus4 F#
Kinda weird, but that's neither here nor there.
 (barre)G F# F#m F#7sus4
You can face it, embrace it, no need to fear

    F# A D*
the beauty, beauty everywhere.
A C3-G F#m E
Beauty everywhere. Beauty everywhere.
